Man arrested outside of Mar-a-Lago, suspicious package triggers PBSO response

PALM BEACH- Town police arrested a 53 year old man for trespassing at former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort on Wednesday morning.

After the suspect was taken into custody police noticed a suspicious package inside his vehicle and requested assistance from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The Southern Bridge and South County Road were both closed while deputies investigated the package which was later determined to be harmless.

The roadways were reopened just before 2:30 PM.

President Trump was not at Mar-a-Lago at the time of the incident and is currently staying at his resort in New Jersey.
