A Miami-Dade area man has been arrested for bringing a gun on school property.
The incident occurred earlier this week at Palmetto Senior High in Pinecrest.
Authorities say they were called to the school after a student told them her boyfriend threatened to shoot up the school.
When authorities arrived to the scene, they found a 9mm handgun in a vehicle parked on school grounds.
19-year-old Ethan Duey was taken into custody.
Authorities say Duey and his girlfriend got into an argument on school grounds and she called police.
He is being charged with assault with a firearm among other charges.
