Officials in Missouri have arrested a man who was allegedly stalking a 12-year-old girl.
The Jefferson City police department reported that they were contacted by the child’s mother after the child told her that an older man was attempting to make contact with her near her school bus stop.
The child told her mother that the man would leave notes and sometimes money underneath a rock along the path the girl used to walk to and from home.
The young girl gave authorities the suspect’s address which led them to the home of Norman M. Jolly.
Authorities said Jolly is a compliant sex offender and their investigation has led them to believe he was the one leaving the notes.
Jolly has since been arrested and charged with one count of felony stalking. He is being held in the Cole County Jail without bond.
