SUNDAY 1:10 P.M. UPDATE:
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office detectives made a second arrest Sunday, after a suspect fired at them, as well as deputies and a civilian earlier in the weekend in Belle Glade.
The second suspect, 23-year-old Jatavious Odoms, was the driver of the vehicle involved in Saturday’s shooting.
He was arrested on four counts of attempted murder.

In addition, PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbera says Odoms provided information during his interview that establishes that law enforcement officials were the targets.
Odoms was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

ORIGINAL STORY:
A local man is in jail after shooting toward deputies in Belle Glade, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 21-year-old Keren Briscoe around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to the arrest documents, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Blvd. when a person who was identified as Briscoe started shooting out of the car toward them.
A civilian was also in the line of fire, PBSO says. There were no injuries, although the incident did result in some property damage.

Briscoe has been charged with three counts of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.
Records show he is on felony probation after he was found guilty in September 2017 on charges of being a delinquent in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation and was scheduled to complete his sentence on New Year’s Day 2021.
However, Briscoe violated his probation last February, when he was arrested for resisting an officer without violence. He was sentenced at that time to seven days in jail.
A judge order Briscoe to be held without bond during a court appearance Saturday morning.
