Man accused of killing woman on I-95 in Broward found in Georgia

BROWARD COUNTY, FL– Investigators are reporting that they have arrested a suspect in the death of a woman whose body was found on I-95 in Broward County earlier this month.
36-year-old Christopher Patterson Jr. was taken into custody in Georgia on Tuesday.
Officials say they believe Patterson Jr. is responsible for the death of the victim, who was found lying next to a vehicle on Dec. 1 in the southbound lanes of I-95 near Oakland Park Boulevard.
Her body was discovered by a Florida Department of Transportation Road Ranger during a routine patrol.
Authorities have not said how the victim died or how they were able to link Patterson Jr., to the victim’s death.
He faces a first-degree murder charge and is expected to be extradited to Broward County to face the charge.

The victim’s name has been withheld from the report due to Marsy’s Law.
