Man accused of biting victim in the face during robbery

A 45-year-old man is now in custody after authorities say he attacked a man who refused to give him money.

The incident occurred on January 22nd, around 8:30 a.m. outside of the Northside Supermarket at 7990 NW 32 Ave in Miami-Dade.

Authorities say the suspect Demetrick “Pysch” Sanders approached the victim asking for money and when the victim declined, Sanders then used a broomstick and  a machete to injure the victim.  Sanders then began biting the victim’s face before robbing him of $350 and phone.

The victim then walked to a nearby gas station where the police where called.

He was then transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities were eventually able to track down and identify Sanders after the victim noticed him outside of the same supermarket on Saturday.

Sanders was taken into custody where he is facing attempted murder and armed robbery with a deadly weapon charges. He is being held without bail.
