
(BROWARD COUNTY, FL)– The Broward County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian and kept going.
The incident occurred on West Atlantic Boulevard near Andrews Avenue on
Authorities say the victim was using the crosswalk when an unknown driver blew through flashing red lights.
The driver was said to have slowed down after hitting the pedestrian but continued driving.
A deputy who was in the area heard the crash and went to check out the scene.
There, they found the pedestrian suffering from several injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died on Friday.
