An Aventura veterinarian has plead guilty to several counts of bestiality and child porn charges.

Prentiss Madden plead guilty to five federal counts of recording himself sexually abusing dogs and to collecting thousands of child pornography images and videos.

Authorities say they were made aware of Madden’s actions via a cyber tip in 2020. Investigators were led to a Dropbox account belonging to Madden, that housed years worth of sexually explicit dog videos and child pornography.

Officials then traced the videos back to Madden’s apartment and to an area near Caring Hands Animal Hospital where Madden worked.

Caring Hands Animal Hospital has since released a statement about the incident:

“This is a significant step forward for our family at the animal hospital, and the community as a whole, in the process of healing and closure … confidence that the court will render an appropriate sentence for the unthinkable crimes that Mr. Madden has plead to.”

Madden faces sentencing on October 8th.  He faces a mandatory sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 87 years behind bars.
