Officials are currently searching for a 16-year-old girl who went missing during a weekend JROTC school fieldtrip.

The teen, Mia Brailford, was said to have last been seen by her roommate around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday on the Gerald Lawhorn Scouting Base in Molena, Georgia.

Authorities say the teens were sleeping in a tent but when the roommate woke up in the morning, Brailford was nowhere to be found. She also did not 6:00 a.m. check-in on Sunday.

Upson County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia has launched an investigation into the whereabouts of the Atlantic Community High School teen. The Palm Beach County Schools Police Department is also said to be in contact with the sheriff’s office.

Anyone who believes they have information about her whereabouts is asked to call 706-647-7411.
