A teacher in Port St. Lucie has resigned from their position after they were accused engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student.

On Thursday, the Principal of the school, Somerset College Preparatory Academy, posted a video message confirming the incident and that the teacher no longer works for the school.

The teacher’s name has not been released at this time.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department is investigating the incident.
