Local police search for attempted murder suspect

Police in Fort Lauderdale are currently searching for a suspect who shot another person during an argument in a parking lot.

The shooting occurred on January 4th at 3210 West Broward Boulevard around 6:00 p.m.

Fort Lauderdale police say they were called to the area after several witnesses reported gunfire.

When they arrived, they found an adult male victim with gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert.

Investigators later learned that the victim had an argument with the suspect before the suspect took out a handgun and began firing in the victim’s direction.

The victim, his vehicle, and neighboring vehicles were all struck by bullets.

Surveillance from a nearby business captured footage of the suspect fleeing the scene on foot headed westbound on West Broward Boulevard.
