A Tamarac man has been arrested after he allegedly strangled his mother because she wouldn’t stop talking to her husband in bed.

The incident occurred on Friday.

According to the report, 43-year-old Jason Overbeck became frustrated with his mother who was talking with her husband while they laid in their bed.

Overbeck then told his mother to “shut the f— up” but his stepdad intervened and told him not to talk to his mother that way.

That’s when Overbeck grabbed his mother by the neck and began strangling her. The stepdad then jumped in and helped free his wife who then ran to another part of the home and called police.

Overbeck was taken into custody had has been charged with domestic battery by strangulation. He has been booked into the North Broward Bureau Jail, according to BSO.
