A 20-year-old man from Loxahatchee has been taken into police custody after an investigation found that he was in possession of child porn.

Ronald Heath Poling was arrested on April 30th.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Poling in February after the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children sent them a tip.

According to the tip an internet user uploaded several pornographic images containing children to a social app called KIK. Authorities were able to traced the account to a home along 90th Street North in Loxahatchee where Poling lives.

After receiving a warrant to search the home, authorities uncovered more than 200 video and image files showing the sexual abuse and exploitation of minors.

Poling admitted that he had also participated in anonymous groups who share the videos and images.

He is now facing 30 counts of possession of 10 or more files of child pornography, and a charge of promotion of sexual performance by a child.
