BOYNTON BEACH, FL– A Boynton Beach middle school student has been taken into custody after they allegedly brought a loaded gun to school.
The incident occurred Tuesday at Congress Community Middle School.
According to an email that was sent out to parents, another student informed school officials about the student having a gun.
The gun was taken from the student by authorities without incident.
The student is facing criminal charges and will also be disciplined under the District’s Zero Tolerance Policy.
