More Americans have received at least one COVID-19 shot than have tested positive for the virus.

As of yesterday in Florida, 1,379,346 residents have received their first dose and 328,346 have completed their series of all recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and are considered fully immunized.

Also, local communities like Belle Glade and Riviera Beach that are without a Publix pharmacy will also be administering vaccine soon along with homebound seniors living in their private residences.

Palm Beach County leaders on Tuesday will provide an update on their response to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

County health director Dr. Alina Alonso is scheduled to address commissioners at their 9:30 a.m. meeting.

According to the latest numbers from the Florida Department of Health, there are 107,619 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,167 coronavirus-related deaths in Palm Beach County.
