An historic launch today with an “all-private” paying crew will blast off from Florida in a few hours for a ten-day mission at the ISS.
Launch of the Axiom-1 mission is scheduled for 11:17 a.m. Eastern time from Kennedy Space Center in Florida
Retired astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria will be joined by the three paying customers. But, he stresses this isn’t space tourism and they’ve all trained hard for this.
The trip, booked through the company Axiom Space, includes eight days aboard the International Space Station.
