MARATHON, FL– A 32-year-old Lithuanian national has been arrested after authorities found nearly 170 pounds of cocaine on his sailboat. 

Matas Vezauskas was taken into custody during a search in Marathon.

Authorities say Vezauskas sailed from another country and docked at Burdines Waterfront Marina without going through U.S. Customs and Border Protection. 

Federal authorities were notified about Vezauskas’ arrival and proceeded to search his boat. 

64 bricks of cocaine weighing around 167 pounds were found during the search.

Vezauskas was charged with cocaine trafficking and was being held without bond.
