Law and Order crew member shot while saving a parking spot on Brooklyn set

(BROOKLYN, NY) — Art imitates life with no law and order in New York.

A crew member for “Law & Order: Organized Crime’’ was fatally shot at the TV show’s Brooklyn set early Tuesday.

Johnny Pizarro, 31, was saving a parking space when an unknown shooter suddenly opened the driver’s door of his 2008 Civic and blasted him in the face and neck, according to the NYPD.

An NBC and Universal Television spokesperson issued a statement condemning the violence.

“We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result,” the spokesperson said. “We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate. Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

The motive for killing the married father of six was unclear, but cops say it may have stemmed from a parking dispute.
