The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating after a photo which seems to mock the death of George Floyd was found circulating amongst officers for Valentines Day.

According to the report, the photo included George Floyd’s photo with the words “you take my breath away. ”

On Saturday, the department confirmed the report of the photo and said that the person or persons responsible for the image will be discipled.

” The Department will have zero tolerance for this type of behavior.”

Floyd was killed in May of 2020 during an arrest after he allegedly presented a business with a fake $20 bill while attempting to purchase cigarettes.

During his arrest, an officer was filmed kneeling on the back of Floyd’s neck for over eight minutes, while they others held him down on various parts of his body. During the incident, Floyd repeatedly cried out “I can’t breathe.”

The four officers involved in his death are now facing charges.
