LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL– Lake Worth Middle School has been placed on a precautionary lockdown due to a suspicious incident that occurred on Thursday.
According to the report, a trespasser was reported on campus just after 1 p.m.
The school has sent out a call to parents and guardians letting them know that their children are safe and that the lockdown was to give police full access:
“Children are safe and parents should not pick up their kids. The school district will continue to update parents until the call clear is given,” Palm Beach County School District spokeswoman Claudia Shea said.
Authorities are still at the scene investigating the incident.
