The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that they have arrested a 66-year-old Lake Worth Beach man who allegedly molested at least one child and may have preyed upon others.

Javier Del Sol was arrested on Friday after a woman told authorities that Del Sol inappropriately touched her when she was 7-years-old.

The woman told authorities that Del Sol molested her on two occasions, one being at the Guatemalan Maya Center where he volunteered.

Investigators said told reporters that Del Sol often worked or volunteered at places where “he could get easy access to prey upon young children.”

While many people who know Del Sol were surprised about his arrest including those of the Guatemalan Maya Center, the center says that their priority is to ensure the woman who came forward has the support she needs.

Del Sol is now facing a charge of sexually assaulting a victim under 12 years old.

Authorities believe their may have been other victims.

Anyone who may have been a victim of Del Sol or may have information regarding his alleged behavior is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
