October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this month Governor DeSantis announced his wife Casey is battling the disease.
Her high profile brings attention to fight against breast cancer as does the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Tia Isoff-Celestin is the state Development Director for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and she reminds us that breast cancer does not tell time or discriminate.
One in eight women will contract breast cancer, and men are susceptible too.
The 2022 Komen West Palm Beach MORE THAN PINK Walk is fast approaching on January 29, 2022 and will be in person this year.
Even though October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, the disease strikes year round.
There will also be a walk in Miami next weekend.
The new “MORE THAN PINK” walk replaces The Race For the Cure because more participants in the past actually walked than ran.
