Florida deputies shot and killed a kidnapping suspect Saturday night who led them in a chase across several counties.  Two female hostages were rescued.

The chase involving Indian River and Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies and Sebastian police began in Osceola County after the suspect shot one of the two female victims.

Finally, the suspect lost control and crashed then tossed one of the victims out of his car before grabbing the other woman and dragging her into a wooded area at gunpoint.

Osceola, Brevard and Indian River county aviation units took to the air and tracked the suspect and victim through the woods.

A gunfight ensued and finally deputies shot the suspect dead.

Both unidentified victims were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

The police shooting is under investigation.
