KFC employee helps kidnapped woman

A Tennessee KFC employee is being commended after they helped a woman who was being held against her will.
The incident occurred on Sunday at the restaurant in the 6200 block of Winchester in Memphis.
According to the report, the suspect 23-year-old Diego Glay and the victim walked into the KFC around 5:00 p.m.
The victim managed to slip a note to the employee explaining that Glay was holding her against her will and she needed help.
The employee then called the police and provide a description of the pair.
Investigators eventually caught up with them and confronted the suspect.
Glay allegedly refused to obey officers’ commands and took off running.
He was eventually taken into custody after a short foot chase.
The woman told investigators that she and Glay had been in a relationship but he became physically abusive towards her and punched her in the face when she attempted to leave.
The victim also told police that Glay threatened her, took away her phone, and wouldn’t let her out of his sight for days at a time.
Glay has been charged with kidnapping and evading arrest. His bond was set at $35,000.
