Jupiter Middle School standout, Varshitha Bojanapati,  is an accomplished speller who is heading to Washington D.C. to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

More than 200 of the best spellers from across the country and the world will meet in the nation’s capital to compete for the coveted prize.

Bojanapati told WPTV that she loves learning new words and their meanings.

She became really interested in words after receiving a perfect score on her third grade spelling test and then she won a school bee and the regional competition this year.

So what’s her favorite word to spell?

“Probably bouillabaisse,” Bojanapati said. “It’s a french stew. It’s spelled b-o-u-i-l-l-a-b-a-i-s-s-e.”
