They divorced in 1992.

The family released a statement which read, in part:

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump… Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”

Ivana Trump was born on February 20, 1949 in the Czechoslovakian city of Gottwaldov and later emigrated to Canada.

Her work as a model led to her meeting Donald Trump in New York in 1976 and they were married a year later.

Trump was involved in a number of business ventures and also published several books.

She remarried and divorced twice more after her marriage to Donald Trump ended.
