Investigators increase reward amount for info on Ilous Ellis Park shooting

FORT PIERCE, FL– Officials in Fort Pierce have increased the reward amount for information regarding a Martin Luther King day shooting that left a mother dead and seven others injured. 

The Florida Sheriff’s Association and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives announced on Monday, that they are now offering $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest. 

29-year-old Nikkitia Bryant was attending the parade at Ilous Ellis Park with her 9-year-old son when shots were fired near Avenue M and 13th Street.

She was struck and killed. 

Another seven people were also hit with bullets. 

Investigators are currently reviewing video from the scene but they are asking for anyone who believes they have information to come forward.
