Independence Day celebration injuries reported county wide in Palm Beach

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.– Independence Day fireworks and gunfire have attributed to at least 4 injuries in Palm Beach County, WPTV reports.

Delray Beach police say celebratory gunfire hospitalized a resident after she was shot in the arm Monday night.

In West Palm Beach, 2 teens lost fingers, and a 9-year-old was struck in the eye, all in separate fireworks incidents.

A 12-year-old boy suffered head trauma Tuesday morning after ignitmh a firework in the 1100 block of 18 Street.

The injuries reported were not life-threatening.

The West Palm Beach Police Department asks that residents use caution with fireworks and to refrain from celebratory gunfire.
