One person is dead after a fatal shooting on I-95 near the Donald Ross road exit.
The incident occurred Friday around 1:00 pm on the northbound side of I-95.
Authorities say one person was shot in an altercation after a minor crash between two drivers.
According to the report, both drivers pulled over to the side of the road and that’s when an altercation ensued. One of the drivers then pulled out a gun and shot the other driver.
The gunman was said to have called authorities to report the incident and claimed self-defense.
Officials are continuing to investigate the incident and have detained the shooter at the scene for questioning.
At this time, no names have been released.
Two lanes in the area have been reopened to allow through traffic, however, drivers traveling in the area should still expect delays.
