The mayor of Austin, Texas is defending himself for hosting a wedding and vacationing in Cabo San Lucas while residents were under stay-at-home orders.

Early last month, Mayor Steve Adler held a wedding and reception for his daughter and then took a private jet to Mexico with seven wedding guests.

Once he was in Cabo, he posted a message on Facebook, telling residents to stay indoors.

Now Adler says he did nothing wrong, saying current coronavirus restrictions weren’t in place yet. However, Governor Greg Abbott had already issued an order restricting gatherings to less than 10 people.

‘Tis the season for hypocritical politicians.
