The husband of one of two teachers who was fatally shot during the Texas school shooting on Tuesday, has reportedly died of a heart attack.
Joe Garcia passed away on Thursday due to grief according to his nephew John Martinez:
“EXTREMELY heartbreaking and come with deep sorrow to say that my Tia Irma’s husband Joe Garcia has passed away due to grief, I truly am at a loss for words for how we are all feeling, PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR FAMILY, God have mercy on us, this isn’t easy.”
Garcia is the husband of elementary school teacher Irma Garcia, who was killed while protecting her students from the 18-year-old gunman.
19 students and two teachers were killed.
According to the family, The Garcia’s who was together for 24 years, leaves behind four children.
