(MIAMI,FLA) —- The National Hurricane Center reports that Nicole’s sustained winds have reached 75 mph, officially category one hurricane strength. The pressure has dropped to 980 mb.
Nicole is a huge storm and is 130 miles to the east of West Palm Beach which is back under a hurricane warning. Storm conditions are being felt from West Palm to Jacksonville.
The upgrade in strength does not change the impact. Those in the cone should prepare for damaging wind and deadly storm surge over night.
