A driver and their passenger are lucky to be alive after their Hummer went up in flames after the pair pulled off from a gas station.

The incident occurred at a Texaco gas station in Homosassa, Florida on Wednesday.

Citrus County Fire Rescue officials say the pair had just left the gas station after filling up four fuel containers with gasoline. The containers were then placed in the back of the vehicle.

One person was injured during the incident, however, they reportedly refused medical treatment.

Authorities are still investigating the source of the fire.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection was notified to coordinate a fuel spill cleanup.
