WEST PALM BEACH- The Fourth of July weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher across the Palm Beaches.

Highs on Saturday and Sunday will approach the lower 90s but will feel more like triple-digits thanks to a healthy dose of humidity.

Skies will be partly cloudy with a slight chance for morning showers near the coast and afternoon showers inland.

For Independence Day, plenty of sunshine with a slight chance for afternoon showers and highs near 90.

The National Weather Service warns beachgoers of a high risk for rip currents at the coast through Monday evening.

If you’re heading out to the beach this weekend, swim near a lifeguard and if you are caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore until you are free of the current.

You will lessen your chance of drowning by not fighting against the pull of the water.
