Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday and there are events honoring him across South Florida.
Volunteer groups will join the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach Atlantic University in a day-long outreach event.
Contactless and virtual service projects are also being held at more than 20 locations with food pantry sorting, a beach clean up and caring for animals, just to name a few. The day of giving back will wrap up with a virtual program at 6 p.m.
Palm Beach Outlets and Feeding South Florida continue their efforts to feed the hungry and those in need. They will distribute food to those in need this morning.
Riviera Beach is also hosting a day of service event to bring residents together to help spruce up the city.
In Miami, several police departments will host the One Miami, One Band, One Sound Community Mass Bike Ride. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Miami-Dade Corrections Department will join the event, located at Charles Hadley Park,1350 NW 50th Street in Miami.
The City of Miramar invites the community to join the celebration of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Day and Black History Month. A parade will start at the Multiservice complex, 6700 Miramar Parkway, starting at 10 a.m.
