Authorities in Lauderhill, Florida are currently investigating a situation where a homeowner fatally shot an intruder.
The incident occurred at a home on the 5900 block of Northwest 23rd Street on Sunday.
According to the report, the suspect climbed through a window with a gun, just after 11 p.m.
The homeowner then opened fire on the suspect.
While not a lot of details are known about the incident at this time, authorities did report that the homeowner knew the intruder.
Neighbors told reporters that there are small children who live in the home.
It is unclear if the children were home, but authorities did note that a woman was present during the shooting.
