Authorities in Utah are reporting that they have arrested a homeless man who killed a woman who let him use the shower in her apartment.

The incident occurred in Salt Lake City around 5:00 p.m. last Sunday.

Investigators  say they arrived to the scene to find the woman bleeding heavily from her neck.

The woman was able to tell authorities that her throat had been cut by a man she let into her home to take a shower, but he attacked her and fled the area.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

“Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition where she received emergency surgery. Doctors upgraded the victim’s condition to critical but stable. There are no further updates available on the victim’s condition.”

Authorities arrested a 30-year-old man by the name of Eric Jones on Friday. He has since been charged with aggravated assault.
