High School Football Team Takes Field w/American Flags

A North Georgia high school football team ran out onto the field carrying American flags before their game last week. Fannin County School Superintendent Michael Gwatney is calling it a “unifying moment.” along with it being a “Patriotic Moment.”  Reports says this was organized by the coaches, players, and their parents.

American Flags-We are all Americans

“It was an awesome and unifying moment for the audiences on both sides of our stadium and reminded us that no matter what team we support, we are all Americans,” Gwatney said.

Gwatney said despite the team losing the game, “our players certainly won the hearts of our community with the display of patriotism.”

The movement was done to support veterans, in particular one teammate who has already committed to the Army.
