WEST PALM BEACH- Expect a typical summer weather pattern over the weekend across the Palm Beaches and the Treasure Coast.
Early morning showers near the coast are expected Saturday and Sunday with afternoon storms firing up out west and highs in the low 90s.
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a high rip current risk advisory for area beaches through Sunday evening, so if you’re planning on hitting the beach make sure to swim near a lifeguard and keep a close eye on children when they enter the water.
If you’re caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore until you are free of the current’s pull.
You should never try to swim against a rip current.
