WEST PALM BEACH, FL–
A multi-vehicle accident is causing heavy delays on I-95 in West Palm Beach.
The incident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. near the Southern Boulevard exit.
Witnesses say a 22-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord was seen driving recklessly as she traveled northbound in the area.
As the driver switched multiple lanes she eventually collided with a semi-truck.
The collision caused the semi to slam into a U-Haul and the U-Haul to slam into a concrete barrier.
The 22-year-old driver and two young children in her vehicle were taken to an area hospital with injuries.
It is unclear if anyone else was injured.
At 2:30 p.m. FHP opened two outside lanes to allow traffic through, however, at 3:30 p.m. traffic in the area was still backed up to Lake Worth Beach.
