
(PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL)- Palm Beach hazmat teams along with the PBSO bomb squad are investigating a suspicious package at a west Boynton Beach home in the 10000 block of Canyon Bay Lane.
According to deputies the homeowners received the package on Monday and later reported feeling ill.
Rescue teams responded around 8:30 AM Tuesday morning and a considerable police and fire rescue presence was seen in the Canyon Lakes development through the early afternoon.

Our partners at WPTV say the homeowners opened a ‘strange letter’ on Monday which they say contained what’s described as a small piece of cardboard.
NOW: Palm Beach Co bomb squad and fire rescue are investigating after a family opened a strange letter they believe caused them to started coughing.
It contained a small piece of cardboard similar to a game piece, according to the homeowner.

The occupants were assessed by fire crews and are reportedly feeling better and do not require further medical attention.
The origin of the letter is not known.
