Two people are dead after a gunman opened fire at a party, killing one person before he was stoned to death by party-goers.

The incident was reported in Fort Worth, Texas in the 5600 block of Shiloh Drive on Monday morning.

According to the report, the gunman got into an argument with another person during a small backyard gathering and then left the scene.

He later returned to the party with another person and the argument started up again between multiple people. The gunman then fired his gun, shooting one person non-fatally.

The group then responded by throwing landscaping stones and bricks back at the gunman.  The gunman attempted to flee the area but either tripped or was taken down by the group.

He than began firing his gun once again at the crowd. Two more people were struck by bullets, one fatally.

The gunman was then repeatedly hit by stones until he died.

While no names have been released, authorities did report that everyone involved in the incident knew each other.

The incident is still under investigation.
