Gunman shoots two people Saturday morning in Vero Beach

(VERO BEACH, Florida)– Two people were shot and wounded early Saturday morning, and the alleged gunman is in custody.

According to Vero Beach investigators, the shots were fired in the Parc24 parking garage in the 400 block of 24th Street, south of Royal Palm Boulevard and west of Indian River Boulevard.

Around 4 a.m., a woman and her boyfriend were driving away from the garage in their separate cars, when Aaron Paul Bishop, 61, fired multiple shots at their vehicles.

The woman was hit in the arm, and the man received injuries from broken glass.

They were both taken to Lawnwood Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Bishop was later taken into custody after detectives identified him using the parking garage surveillance system.
