
Authorities in Fort Lauderdale are currently investigating an overnight shooting that left the city hall building partially damaged.
According to the report, officials arrived to the area of 11 N. Andrews Ave around 12:48 a.m. after the ShotSpotter picked up on gunfire.
When authorities arrived, they reported that there was evidence of gunfire, however, they did not locate any victims.
Around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, authorities were called back to the area due to damage to, two windows of the City Hall building.
Detectives found that the damage was due to gunfire and that it was consistent with the shooting that occurred earlier.
Officials are currently investigating the incident and report that they do not believe the building or anyone in it, was an intended target.
