The grandmother of two young children who were found dead in the trunk of their aunt’s car last week is now speaking out about the discovery.
Michelle Johnson told reporters that though she loves her daughter she blames them both for the deaths of her 7-year-old and 5-year-old grand children and believes they should pay the ultimate price for what they did.
“I love her, but I want her to pay with every soul in my bones. They can put her to sleep as far as I’m concerned. They can put them both to sleep,” said Johnson.
The bodies of 7-year-old Joshlyn and 5-year-old Larry where discovered in their aunt Nicole Johnson’s car during a traffic stop in Essex last week.
Nicole confessed that Joshlyn had been dead for more than a year, while Larry died a few months ago.
She was taken into custody and charged but Michelle believes that both Nicole and the children’s mother are responsible for the children’s deaths.
“That’s what I want. I want both daughters to be equally charged because both are guilty,” said Johnson.
Johnson says she hadn’t seen her grandchildren since Christmas of 2019 when their mother moved out of her house, however, she suspected that the children were in danger and did everything in her power to get them back.
“They took them out of this house. I been fighting. I called protective services, I called the mayor,” Johnson said.
Now after nearly two years of trying to gain custody of her grandchildren, Michelle finally knows the truth of what happened to them.
“I’d tried to get any help I could. I was waiting for my grandkids to come back home. But they never came back to me,” she said.
