Grammy-winning Country Singer B.J. Thomas dies at 78

Successful Grammy-winning singer B.J. Thomas has died.

He was 78.

Thomas wrote the widely popular hits like “Hooked on a Feeling” and “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head.”

A statement released by Thomas’s representative said the singer died Saturday in Texas from complications due to lung cancer.

Thomas was born in Hugo, Oklahoma and grew up in Houston, Texas.

Over his career, Thomas won five Grammys, sold 70 million albums worldwide.

Thomas is survived by wife Gloria, who he was married to for 53 years and their three daughters.
