Ron DeSantis is attempting to speed up the COVID vaccine process in the sunshine state.
Speaking in Miami-Dade County yesterday at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and he announced that under his plan, hospitals that don’t administer vaccine doses fast enough will lose doses to hospitals that are more efficient.
He’s also calling for converting test sites into vaccination sites, allowing churches to become vaccination sites and hiring another one-thousand nurses. The governor explains who qualifies for a vaccine…people over 65 and frontline healthcare workers.
DeSantis has faced criticism over frustrations with the vaccine rollout, but he says he’s empowering hospitals to handle the rollout because they’re much more competent than the government when it comes to delivering healthcare services.
