
The moratorium on evictions and foreclosures in Florida has been extended for another month. The moratorium, which was set to expire at midnight, has been extended until Aug. 1, 2020. The order was filed at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gov. Ron DeSantis put the moratorium in place at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic on April 2 to help people who lost their jobs stay in their homes. The order states this does not relieve an individual from their obligation to make mortgage or rent payments.
