BOCA RATON- Drivers on Glades Road will need to find another route to get onto or across I-95 for most of this coming week.
Starting Sunday night, detours will go up from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM through Thursday as work on a new I-95 interchange continues.
Eastbound drivers can take Military Trail to Palmetto Park Road to get to 95, while westbound drivers take Airport Road to Spanish River Blvd.
FDOT will be conducting pavement and ramp work at Glades as part of the new ‘diverging diamond’ interchange which transportation officials say will ease congestion at one of the county’s busiest sections of roadway.
Officials hope to have the new interchange open to traffic by fall, with new I-95 express lanes coming online in 2023.
