Gas prices have hit a new record high in Florida.
According to AAA the average price for a gallon of a regular is $4.47. Which is up 7 cents from Thursday, 28 cents from a week ago, nearly 50 cents from a month ago, and $1.60 from the same time last year.
Florida is one of the 10 states with the largest increases.
The national average is at $4.42 per gallon. That’s 2 cents higher than the previous record set in March.
The increase is primarily because of the high cost of crude oil and increasing demand.
